If you are filing an insurance claim because you suffered a loss from a lightning strike it is essential that you have an Electrical Engineer and a Master Electrician perform a Megohm Test sometimes called a Megger Test.
This test from my experience is the best way to test the wiring behind the walls and in the concrete slabs and in all the unreachable areas of the house to make sure they are safe after a lightning strike or power surge to make sure your home is not at risk for a fire. People do not know that a Lightning claim on a home is classified the same as a house fire insurance claim so therefore it falls under in Florida the “Value Policy Law.”
