Water testing and property insurance claims
Content reviewed November 2, 2026. General information; the policy, loss date and law applicable to the claim control.
Drinking-water testing is a laboratory service. Experienced Public Adjusters should not be treated as a water-testing laboratory or a source of guaranteed laboratory turnaround times.
For a private well, the Florida Department of Health’s private-well guidance explains testing resources. Contact an appropriate certified laboratory or your county health department about sampling, the tests needed and current turnaround times. Follow the water supplier’s or health department’s instructions when a water-quality concern occurs.
Keep testing and claim documentation distinct
A laboratory result does not, by itself, determine insurance coverage. If contaminated water is involved in property damage, preserve the laboratory report, sampling information, incident records and professional repair recommendations with your claim file.
Our firm assists policyholders with documenting and adjusting property damage claims. See steps after a property loss before discarding evidence or beginning non-emergency permanent repairs.
Talk through your property claim
Call Experienced Public Adjusters at 888-881-8416 or request a claim review. Have your policy, date of loss, claim number and insurer correspondence available. We represent policyholders in property insurance claims; legal disputes and legal deadlines should be reviewed by a Florida attorney.
